Epson says the Pro EX10000 is their most advanced business projector to date.
Epson recently launched three new versatile business projectors — Pro EX10000, Pro EX9240, and EX3280 — designed for hybrid workspaces and home offices. These projectors can easily display large, bright images almost anywhere, perfect for remote work and occasional home entertainment.
I recently got to try the Pro EX10000, a 4500-lumen 3LCD Full HD wireless laser projector with Miracast. Epson prices it at $1,299.99 and calls it their most advanced business projector so far.
Rodrigo Catalan, Product Manager at Epson USA, said: “As remote work continues, people want tech at home that supports their workflow. Our new EX series helps professionals work and entertain with ease. The Pro EX10000 wireless laser projector perfectly fits today’s needs for productivity and entertainment.”
The Pro EX10000 is compact and easy to move between meeting rooms or classrooms. To boost portability, it comes with a soft carrying case that protects the projector during transport and has storage pockets for all adapters and accessories.
Like most of my tests, I connected a 4K Apple TV and MacBook Pro to the projector using Bullet Train and AudioQuest HDMI cables to check compatibility. This time, I projected onto a 110-inch Screen Innovations Solo Pro 2 Unity AT Pure White 1.3 screen.

概述

The Epson Pro EX10000 is designed for hybrid workspaces, classrooms, home offices, and occasional home entertainment.
It’s a Full HD (1920 x 1080) 3-chip 3LCD wireless laser projector. Unlike single-chip DLP projectors that use a spinning color wheel, the 3LCD uses three separate LCD panels for red, green, and blue to show the full color spectrum.
Why does this matter? Two reasons: First, single-chip DLP projectors display colors one at a time in quick succession using the color wheel. If the wheel isn’t fast enough, it can cause a “rainbow effect” — rainbow-like flashes on the screen, especially during fast motion or quick eye movement. Some people are very sensitive to this effect. Even if you don’t notice it much, you probably know someone who does.

People choose 3LCD technology over DLP projectors because 3LCD can deliver higher color brightness. The Epson Pro EX10000 is rated at 4,500 ANSI lumens. ANSI lumens measure only white brightness.
Epson points out that bright white light alone isn’t enough for good image quality. Like all Epson 3LCD projectors, the Pro EX10000 delivers equal color brightness and white brightness. This means its colors appear brighter and more vivid compared to most DLP projectors with the same ANSI lumens rating.
With excellent color and white brightness, the EX10000 is great for showing presentations, spreadsheets, and videos on a big screen — even in well-lit rooms. Epson says it can project images up to 300 inches wide, that’s about 25 feet (7.6 meters) across.

The Pro EX10000’s laser diode light source lasts up to 20,000 hours in normal or quiet mode. In extended mode, the light source can last up to 30,000 hours.
The projector measures 12.7 inches wide, 4.1 inches high, and 11.7 inches deep, weighing 9.5 pounds. Its suggested retail price (MSRP) is $1,299.99.

The Pro EX10000 has a built-in 16-watt speaker system, delivering easy, high-quality sound right out of the box. It supports Miracast, so you can wirelessly connect compatible laptops, smartphones, or tablets. This lets you move freely around a meeting room or classroom without worrying about cables. The technology is reliable and simple to use if your device supports it.
When connected to a Mac or PC, the Pro EX10000 works great for video calls, easily showing apps like Zoom or Skype for everyone in the room.
