We reviewed both the LG ProBeam BU60PST and its consumer model, the ProBeam GRU510N, and were impressed by the picture quality and features of both. The BU60PST is very similar to the GRU510N but is brighter and has a few minor design updates. At 6,000 lumens, it’s the brightest projector LG has made.

The LG ProBeam BU60PST is a compact 6,000-lumen projector that supports 4K UHD. It’s great for professional settings like offices and healthcare, where clear, detailed images are important.

Along with the new ProBeam BU60PST, LG also released the ProBeam BF60PST, a WUXGA (1920 x 1200) model priced at $3,499, and the BF50RG. Both have a brightness of 6,000 ANSI lumens, which is 20% brighter than LG’s previous top models.

The LG ProBeam BU60PST is a bright 6,000-lumen projector, perfect for business, hospitals, museums, and classrooms where there’s some ambient light. Its laser light source lasts up to 20,000 hours, so it needs very little maintenance.
It has a 1.6x zoom lens and both horizontal and vertical lens shift—features that are rare for a DLP projector in this size and price range. With a 12-point warping function, you can easily fix image distortion and perfectly align the picture on the screen.
While it doesn’t have all the smart features of LG’s Cinebeam models, the BU60PST runs on LG’s WebOS, offering useful tools like Miracast wireless screen mirroring, Wi-Fi, and a web browser. It even includes a DICOM mode for medical imaging. Plus, it supports HDBaseT, so a single CAT6 cable can carry 4K signals over long distances.
This projector supports HDR10 and features Dynamic HDR Tone Mapping, which adjusts the image automatically to give you the best HDR experience.
With its high brightness, low maintenance, and great picture quality, the BU60PST is a strong alternative to large flat panel TVs in offices, classrooms, or other professional spaces.
