Epson BrightLink 735Fi, PowerLite 750F, and PowerLite L200SW Education Projectors: Our First-Look Review of Key Features and Capabilities

Epson recently introduced a new lineup of projectors aimed at the education market. This release includes two interactive BrightLink models and seven non-interactive PowerLite models. In this preview, I’ll focus on three key models: the BrightLink 735Fi, PowerLite 750F, and L200SW.

Overview

Epson’s latest lineup of education projectors all feature long-lasting laser light sources rated for up to 20,000 hours with minimal brightness loss over time. That’s a big advantage over traditional lamp-based projectors, which require bulb replacements every 1,000–2,000 hours and tend to dim with use. With laser, you get consistent image quality and near-zero maintenance for years.

Teachers will appreciate that these projectors are bright enough to perform well even in well-lit classrooms. The BrightLink 735Fi and PowerLite 750F both deliver 3,600 lumens of color and white brightness, while the PowerLite L200SW reaches 3,800 lumens. Some other models in the series go as high as 4,200 lumens. Importantly, these brightness ratings apply to both white and color, unlike many single-chip DLP projectors where color brightness often lags behind—resulting in duller images.

Special Features

The BrightLink 735Fi and PowerLite 750F both offer Full HD 1080p resolution (1920×1080) and can project a 100-inch (16:9) image. They also support an ultra-wide 16:6 aspect ratio by cropping the top and bottom pixels, allowing for a 110-inch diagonal display at 1920×720 resolution.

The PowerLite L200SW offers WXGA resolution (1280×800) and can project up to a 120-inch (16:10) image.

All three models support split-screen mode, letting you display two different sources side by side—ideal for interactive lessons or collaborative meetings.

They also come with built-in 5GHz Wi-Fi and Miracast, which allows you to wirelessly mirror screens from compatible Android devices. Plus, they support Epson’s iProjection software, available on Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS. You can connect up to 50 devices at once—great for classroom participation or group presentations.

The BrightLink 735Fi and PowerLite 750F are both ultra short throw (UST) projectors, designed to sit just a few inches away from the screen or wall. This setup helps eliminate shadows caused by people walking in front of the image.

You can place the projector on a table below the screen or mount it on the wall above using an optional wall mount. It’s a clean, space-saving solution that keeps the beam out of the way

BrightLink 735Fi

The BrightLink 735Fi features interactive whiteboard capabilities, allowing teachers and students to draw directly on the screen using special pens—or even their fingers with the optional touch module. It can turn nearly any flat surface into an interactive workspace, making it easy to share ideas locally or with remote participants in real time.
