AAXA M6 Pocket LED Projector
The AAXA M6 is a bright, pocket-sized DLP projector using LED technology. Instead of a lamp, it uses three LEDs—red, green, and blue—to create the full color spectrum. With 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080), it delivers 1200 lumens when plugged in and 500 lumens on battery power, which is impressive for its size. Priced at $599, it’s a great deal for a small 1080p LED projector.
The M6 is the bigger sibling of the AAXA M5, which has a lower WXGA resolution (1280 x 800) and costs about $480. In my opinion, the M6 offers better picture quality and performance, making it worth the extra $100.
The M6 is versatile and works well for home entertainment—watching movies, sports, streaming shows, casual gaming, or even outdoor movie nights. It’s also handy for business or education when a portable projector is needed or there’s no fixed unit in the room. While it’s not as bright as larger lamp-based projectors, it’s still impressively bright for its size.

Overview
The AAXA M6 is a compact projector weighing just 2.5 pounds. It measures 7 inches wide, 7 inches long, and 2.1 inches tall—smaller than most laptops—and comes with a black carrying case with handles, making it truly portable.
Though often called a pocket or Pico projector, the M6 is bigger than typical Pico projectors (which usually weigh under 1 pound). Still, “pocket projector” is a familiar term, even if it doesn’t quite fit its size.
The M6 works well for both personal and professional use. It’s a great first projector for college students or young professionals who want a quality image on the go—much better than hotel TVs. For budget-conscious business travelers, it’s bright enough for presentations and training in rooms with some ambient light. Many users will find it fits both home and work needs thanks to its portability.
Its compact size and included carrying case make it easy to bring to friends’ dorms or apartments for casual gaming or Netflix nights. While not designed for hardcore gamers, its input lag is low enough to satisfy most casual players. It handles ambient light well and delivers good color.
For those who want a portable screen to go with the M6, there are lightweight options under $100. I’m working on a video review of two such screens and will share the link soon.
The M6 is also handy in classrooms without built-in projectors. It’s easy to carry between rooms for presentations, lessons, or videos.
It boasts a long-lasting light engine rated for 30,000 hours and a contrast ratio of 2,000:1. Plus, it has a built-in media player, so you can play videos, audio, photos, and text files directly from USB drives or micro SD cards—no PC needed. The M6 offers essential ports including HDMI, VGA, and audio out, covering all the basics for a projector this size.
