Education Projector Reviews at CES 2022 | Best New Projectors

CES 2022 Recap | Education Projector Highlights

CES 2022 took place under strict safety measures, ensuring visitors could enjoy the event with peace of mind. Although the show was smaller than usual, it still delivered exciting tech reveals, including several new Education Projector models.

Sony at CES 2022

Sony did not introduce new projectors this year. Instead, they promoted their movie Uncharted, based on the PlayStation game. Actor Tom Holland (Nathan Drake) appeared on stage to present the trailer. The highlight was an intense airplane action scene inspired by Uncharted 3. The film launched on February 18, 2022, and looked like the perfect blockbuster to experience on a home or classroom projector.

CES 2022 Takeaway

At Pepcom, only three projector brands — Anker, XGIMI, and ViewSonic — showcased their latest innovations. While Sony focused on entertainment, these brands highlighted how projectors can serve classrooms, offices, and home theaters. For educators, the trend is clear: projectors are becoming brighter, smarter, and more adaptable to modern teaching needs.

HISENSE

Hisense L9G Pro TriChroma Laser TV
Hisense PX1-PRO

Hisense PX1-PRO Overview

Hisense introduced the PX1-PRO, a projector that delivers performance close to the award-winning Hisense L9G TriChroma Laser TV. Unlike the L9G, it doesn’t come with a bundled ALR screen, giving users more flexibility to pair it with custom setups.

The PX1-PRO includes adjustable digital focus, which makes it easy to fine-tune image quality across different screen sizes. This feature is ideal for anyone using a motorized UST screen or looking for more control over installation.

With its strong design and flexibility, the PX1-PRO is a solid option for home theaters, offices, and even classrooms looking for an Education Projector.

BenQ at CES

At CES, we met with Lars Yoder, President of BenQ America, and Jeffrey Hsieh, Director of Consumer Projectors. BenQ presented a wide range of gaming gear, including new monitors and Esports displays.

In a private demo room, they set up two gaming projectors — the TK700 and the new X3000i. Both units were connected to a PlayStation 5, letting visitors experience smooth, real-time gameplay. The hands-on demo showed how BenQ is aiming to deliver fast response times and sharp visuals for serious gamers.

Both BenQ gaming projectors feature dedicated modes for FPS, RPG, and sports games. Each mode fine-tunes visuals, audio, and input lag to match the genre.

At the event, Jeehwan “Jee” Shin, BenQ’s Campaign Marketing Specialist, gave live demos on both the TK700 and X3000i. The games looked sharp, played smoothly, and showed how well these projectors handle fast-paced action.

BenQ Introduced the X3000i 4K Gaming Projector

The BenQ X3000i delivers 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, bringing vibrant and lifelike visuals. It supports true 4K with HDR10 and offers a low 16ms input lag for smooth gameplay. Enhanced stereo speakers provide realistic, object-based sound, adding to the immersion.

BenQ designed the X3000i with gamers in mind, especially those who love open-world adventures. With its huge screen, accurate colors, and strong audio, the projector makes you feel inside the game, not just watching it.

Alongside the X3000i, BenQ also presented the TK700. This model is close to the TK700STi, which we reviewed in July 2021. The main difference is in the zoom lens—the TK700 offers 1.3x zoom, while the TK700STi has 1.2x zoom.

BenQ Game On Short Throw Projector

BenQ TK700STi and X3000i Gaming Projectors

The BenQ TK700STi comes with Android TV and is fully Google-certified, giving you access to streaming apps and smart features. In contrast, the BenQ TK700 skips Android TV because it is designed mainly for gamers who connect directly to consoles. BenQ believes most players will rely on the built-in smart features of their PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch.

The BenQ TK700 is already available at $1,499, while the new BenQ X3000i is expected to launch in February or March 2022 at $1,999. Both models aim to deliver great gaming performance with low input lag and bright images.

JVC

JVC DLA-NZ9 8K Projector at CES

At CES, JVC set up a demo room at the Venetian to showcase their 8K projector, the DLA-NZ9. This flagship laser projector delivers an 8192 x 4320 resolution using e-shiftX technology.

The DLA-NZ9 first launched in September 2021, but many attendees experienced it for the first time during CES. The picture quality looked stunning, with sharp detail and rich colors that impressed the audience.

JVC Adds Two New 4K Projectors in 2022

JVC didn’t stop with the DLA-NZ9 demo. They also introduced two new models for 2022 — the DLA-NP5 and DLA-RS1100.

Both projectors use three native 4K (4096×2160) D-ILA chips, giving them excellent black levels and outstanding contrast. They deliver a native contrast ratio of 40,000:1 and a dynamic contrast ratio of 400,000:1.

Another big upgrade is HDR10+ support, which will roll out on streaming platforms like Disney+ and select 4K UHD discs in 2022.

JVC Expands 4K Lineup with Affordable Options

The new JVC DLA-NP5 and DLA-RS1100 both support HDR10+, delivering sharp contrast and vibrant visuals. Priced at $6,999, these models are far more affordable than the $24,999 flagship DLA-NZ9.

With this release, JVC brings its advanced D-ILA projection technology to a wider audience at a lower cost. This move makes high-end performance more accessible, whether for home theaters, professional use, or advanced Education Projector setups.
