The Christie LHD878-DS is a 7,800 ANSI lumen business-class laser projector with Full HD resolution that supports a full range of 4K content. It’s the newest model in Christie’s DS-Series of mid-brightness installation projectors, designed for classrooms, museums, and mid-sized auditoriums.
Christie offers three laser projector models in the DS-Series. Along with the LHD878, there’s the 7,000-lumen LWU755 ($10,499 SRP) and the 8,000-lumen LWU900 ($12,399). Unlike the other two WUXGA projectors, the LHD878 is the only Full HD (1920 x 1080) option. Its laser light engine lasts up to 50,000 hours in 50% brightness mode.
The lens is sold separately, with seven options available, including an ultra-short-throw (UST) version.
Overview

The Christie LHD878U delivers up to 8,000 lumens and features a reliable, long-lasting laser light engine, making it a great choice for a mid-brightness business-class projector. Part of Christie’s DS-Series, it offers high performance without breaking the budget.
With a native Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080), the LHD878 also accepts 4K@60P content. Its laser light engine can last up to 50,000 hours in low power mode. As a 3LCD projector, it produces equal color and white brightness, ensuring bright and vibrant images in lecture halls, museums, auditoriums, and houses of worship.
The projector doesn’t include a lens, but it works with seven powered Christie lenses. With a wide range of inputs and features like omnidirectional mounting, edge blending, and projector warping, it offers great flexibility for various setups.
