The XGIMI Halo+ is a top pick for a portable projector. It’s small (about the size of a tissue box), lightweight, and stylish enough to leave out on your coffee table. The image quality is excellent right out of the box—colors are rich and cinematic, with no tweaking needed.
Its 700 ISO lumens are bright enough for indoor use with some daylight or outdoor viewing in the evening. The 2.5-hour battery and decent built-in speakers make it great for movie nights anywhere. Since it runs Google TV, you get access to all major streaming apps—including Netflix—with regular updates.
A few minor downsides:
The speakers sound a bit thinner than some others, but you can always connect a Bluetooth speaker.
The built-in stand only has one fixed position (but you can add an adjustable one).
No USB-C charging, which is a missed opportunity.
The fan is quiet, but it was the loudest among the models tested.
Still, with its mix of performance, design, and portability, the Halo+ is one of the best all-around portable projectors available.
