Overview
The Epson PowerLite 108 is a mid-range XGA (1024 x 768) 3LCD projector that’s great for classrooms or conference rooms. Whether you mount it or take it on the go, it delivers bright, vibrant images that make your presentations look sharp and professional. It weighs just 6.17 lbs and is about the size of a sheet of paper (11.5 x 9.7 inches), making it easy to carry or move from room to room on a cart. It’s durable enough for travel but also works well as a fixed setup in a classroom or meeting space. Priced at $599, the PowerLite 108 offers solid performance and brightness at a great value—especially if XGA resolution fits your needs. This projector is also a smart, modern upgrade for schools and businesses still using older VGA, SVGA, or low-brightness XGA models from 5 to 15 years ago.

The PowerLite 108 is part of Epson’s new PowerLite 1xx series, which includes other models with XGA and WXGA resolution. The PowerLite 107 is the most affordable, priced at $549, offering 3,500 lumens. The PowerLite 109 has higher brightness at 4,000 lumens and features WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, priced around $749.
All models in the 1xx series have a lamp life of up to 6,000 hours in Normal mode and 12,000 hours in Eco mode. Each also comes with a powerful built-in 16-watt speaker.
The PowerLite 108 shares many features with Epson’s higher-end 9xx series projectors—such as design, menus, and audio—while offering a more budget-friendly option by trimming down on resolution and brightness. If you’ve read about the PowerLite 990U, you’ll notice a lot of similarities here, with the main differences being image sharpness and performance.
The Epson PowerLite 108 and its siblings offer great flexibility for schools, teachers, and students. With an optional wireless module (around $100), you can connect up to 50 devices—Chromebooks, iPhones, Android phones, or laptops—using Epson’s iProjection app. Schools can also use Epson’s Easy MP Network Projection and Projector Management software to monitor and control multiple projectors from one location, making things easier for IT and facilities teams.
This projector is also a solid choice for businesses. It’s light enough for sales reps or trainers to travel with, but most will likely be installed in classrooms or meeting rooms. Since it uses a 4:3 aspect ratio, it’s ideal for replacing older projectors without needing to change screens or mounting setups—saving time and money on installation.

The Epson PowerLite 108 is a strong performer for small installations or on-the-go use. With excellent brightness, vibrant color even in its brightest modes, and a wide range of helpful features, it’s a smart tool for engaging students and enhancing lessons.
At just $599, it offers great value. If you’re on a budget but need a bright, versatile projector, the PowerLite 108 is a solid choice.
