Formovie was the first brand to introduce an ultra-short throw (UST) projector with Dolby Vision HDR support. At CES, they revealed their latest model, the Formovie Theater Premium, priced at $2,799 on their U.S. website.
Their budget-friendly entry, the Formovie Cinema Edge, is praised as a top choice among TechRadar’s best UST projectors. The Theater Premium raises the bar with higher brightness of 2,200 ISO lumens, Dolby Vision HDR, and a tri-laser light engine with 107% coverage of the BT.2020 color space. It boasts a game input lag of under 18 milliseconds and features an integrated Bowers & Wilkins speaker system supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
While the picture quality of the Theater Premium hasn’t improved since CES, the positive feedback on the more affordable Cinema Edge and the basic Formovie Theater model suggests that the Theater Premium offers a strong option in the UST projector market.
