Fujifilm has unveiled a new ultra-short throw projector, the FP-ZUH6000, with a unique twist—literally. Unlike typical UST projectors that need to be physically moved to change the projection angle, this one features an articulated lens arm that can pivot and rotate. That means it can project onto walls, ceilings, or even floors while staying fixed in one spot. It’s designed for permanent installations in a wide range of spaces.

The FP-ZUH6000 is being introduced at the Integrated Systems Europe 2025 show in Barcelona. Fujifilm hasn’t shared pricing or release dates yet, but considering a previous lower-res model sold for $14,000, this 4K version with 6,000 lumens brightness will likely be even pricier.

The projector’s design is clever: it uses a pair of prisms and a pivoting arm to redirect light, similar to a periscope. The lens rotates 360 degrees and can pivot 90 degrees, giving you full flexibility on where to aim the image. There’s also a lens shift feature that lets you move the image up, down, left, or right without physically adjusting the projector or lowering the resolution.

Because the lens can extend from the body, the projector can be installed above a drop ceiling with only the lens visible. Its design and likely high price tag make it ideal for museums and commercial installations, but it could also work in high-end home theaters where you want the projector hidden without needing a dedicated room.
