Hisense L9Q Trichroma Laser TV

The Hisense L9Q is the latest in the company’s Laser TV lineup, combining an ultra short throw projector with an ambient light rejecting screen. Unlike previous models that only offered 100- or 120-inch screens, the L9Q will be available in 100-, 110-, 120-, 136-, and 150-inch sizes when it launches in 2025.

Hisense claims the L9Q delivers up to 5,000 lumens of brightness—a 67% increase over earlier models. At CES, a pre-production unit using a 2.9 gain screen reportedly achieved 1,500 nits of full-screen brightness, outperforming most OLED and many mini-LED TVs. It also offers a 5,000:1 static contrast ratio and covers 110% of the BT.2020 color gamut, thanks to its RGB laser light engine.

The final design isn’t complete, but Hisense says it will feature a Black Walnut Décor Panel, Star Orbit Ambient Lighting, and brushed metal finishes for a premium look.

The L9Q is also the first projector with a built-in 6.2.2-channel audio system, supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X. Hisense has partnered with French audio brand Devialet for tuning. Additional features include Dolby Vision, Google TV with voice assistant, and an ATSC 3.0 tuner for Next-Gen TV broadcasts in the U.S.
